So I was online and saw a video from @prophiphop where he spoke about the strength of community in the face of an ever repressive regime. The video struck a cord with me to the point where I decided to make a comic based on his story. This was interesting because I storyboarded using the video and filling in the gaps of the story for the characters. Storyboarding and planning took about a day, and then the 6 pages were finished in 2 days. I tried to bring a level of sensitivity and joy to the subject, even with touching on the current situation.
