2023 Collection – Black History Month Challenge

The February 2023 collection was done on 8″x 11″ sketch paper using alcohol markers and inks to present important figures in the African Diaspora for Black History Month. I learned a lot along the way and shared information through reels on Instagram. In light of the shifting policies across the USA to butcher the education system especially in covering its history – it was important to cover educational material through art. 25 portraits are presented in the visual collection.
