DJ-Laoshi (Biography)

I use a variety of media to present visual narratives that enable people to learn, explore and feel a sense of belonging.

 DJ-Laoshi [dee-jay lao-sih] is a multidisciplinary artist based in South Florida who uses a variety of mediums and techniques to combine self-reflection, education and art into an interactive visual experience. DJ-Laoshi has a Bachelors in International Relations from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica and a Masters in Education from the University of Exeter, UK. Her artistic inspiration comes from her love for comic books, arts, academics, travel and her upbringing between Jamaica, USA and the UK. She has exhibited in Florida USA, Iraq and Australia and published in Australia and the USA.
