Biography

I use a variety of media to present visual narratives that facilitate learning, reflections, self exploration and shifts in perspective.

 DJ-Laoshi [dee-jay lao-sih] is a multidisciplinary artist who currently lives and works in South Florida. She studied International Relations from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica from 2005-2008 and later on received her Masters in Education from the University of Exeter, UK (2018-2021).

DJ-Laoshi has been published in various newspapers and comic anthologies between Colombia, Jamaica, China, Australia and the USA over the last 20 years. From 2013 to present, she has had exhibitions in no particular order – Northern Iraq, USA, Switzerland, Venice, Spain and Australia. The newest exhibition to participate in will be in Japan for February 2025.
