Biography
I use a variety of media to present visual narratives that facilitate learning, reflections, self exploration and shifts in perspective.

DJ-Laoshi [dee-jay lao-sih] is a multidisciplinary artist who currently lives and works in South Florida. Through mixed media and techniques drawn from diverse realms of visual arts and textiles, she create immersive and interactive experiences that engage, inspire and spark meaningful conversations that resonate across boundaries. She studied International Relations from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica from 2005-2008 and later on received her Masters in Education from the University of Exeter, UK (2018-2021).
DJ-Laoshi has been published in various newspapers and comic anthologies between Colombia, Jamaica, China, Australia and the USA over the last 20 years. From 2013 to present, she has had exhibitions in no particular order – Northern Iraq, USA, Switzerland, Venice, Spain, Germany, Japan, Grenada and Australia.
