Dear Reader,<\/p>\n

Every year, the same promise is made and broken as the other years, which boils down to these few points:
1) I should post on this webpage that has been running close to 8 years now.
2) Put it in my schedule to post here.
3) not put my art dream on a shelf and giving up for stints on end.
4) Finally, buckle down and post formal portfolios of my work: I draw and create so much however, that would not equate to a portfolio.
If my junior self ten years ago jumped into the present, she would be appalled and wonder what happened over the years to lead to my hesitation in writing. I would tell her time, temperance, pain (lots of heartbreak), self reflection with a touch of anxiety and cowardice in a sense. Cowardice because I lost my courage over the years \u2013 the erosion of my bravado hanging by a thread as my self-worth slipped away. I languished \u2013 waiting for the right feeling, the right moment, the right circumstances, hell \u2013 signs from a higher power to know it was time. Now in my mid 30s, the worry is that I have lost memories and squandered the time of my youth which seemed more exciting as I reflect on those old times during my travels. Yet, I appreciate the peace of mind that eluded me in my youth. Spend 11 years traveling around the world and moving from country to country just to realize that you have been running away from yourself. COVID in 2020 was a great teacher in that respect, and the lessons were difficult. However, spiritually, I became a better human being (at least I hope so) and the baggage I carried lessened with time. This year, I took more strides in working with my art \u2013 I took more chances which has taken me down paths I never expected.
For the persons that have finally stumbled upon my page \u2013 welcome. For friends and longtime supporters and acquaintances \u2013 welcome back and thank you. And stay tune for these updates:
1) Different portfolios
2) The first half of the year exploring different mediums
3)Venice, Italy \u2013 my project accepted for a partial scholarship in Venice for two weeks.
4) Live drawing at the Fire Flies Festival.
5) the bigger surprise that should happen in 2 weeks.<\/p>\n

I hope that I can do better and be more robust in the way I communicate.
